How hard is it to understand that neither the EyeToy or the PSEye have an IR projector and sensor?
Just because it also has an RGB camera does not make it the same tech. Give it a break man. Learn about the tech.

We can debate the legality of this forever but at the end of the day Sony would never do this simply because of the massive public relations impact. Even though it appears from the comments that the hardcore brand worshipers are rooting for Sony to it the chances are astronomical in my opinion.

I got to borrow one of the old non-3D models when I worked at a Sony call center years ago. It was really nice doing just that chillin on the bed watching this HUGE screen and not even having to lift your lazy F'ing head. haha

Yeah thats exactly how Nintendo created the console casual market with third party games. Really?? Most of casual is first party.
Platforms needs good first party and third party support. I disagree with this idea that only first party games matter.
Third party support was one of the main reasons the PS1 and PS2 destroyed Nintendo's control of the industry with its first party heavy platforms.
Third party support provides the VAST majority of innovation in the industry.

You don't have to be XBL Gold to purchase DLC. All pay content is accessible to all XBL members with the exception of demos and things that are available to Gold members first for a week or two. After the time passes Silver members can download that too.
